LEARNING EXPEDITION SILVER ECONOMY
5 days immersion in Singapore for executive corporates
Asia will become the “oldest” region in the world
200 million people will be over 65 in the next decade in Asia and by 2030 there will be 511 million elderly people in the region. The 2015 Silver Economy Opportunities Report forecasts that the Asia Pacific aging market will reach $ 3.3 billion in 2020.
The Smart Nation is actively investing in improving the well-being of seniors
This “Silver Tsunami” presents significant challenges that Singapore hopes to address through technology. Considered to be the most innovative country in Asia, according to the Global Innovation Index, and willing to become the world’s first Smart Nation, many nursing homes in Singapore are already equipped with sensors to monitor movements of the elderly and alert the staff. The Yishun district will be the first city suitable for people with dementia and many other projects involving the latest technologies are being implemented for elderly people living alone.
LEARNING EXPEDITION SMART CITY
5 days immersion in Singapore for executive corporates
The government invests to become the first Smart Nation
Singapore launched its “Smart Nation” plan in 2014 to become a pioneer in the development of interoperable connected systems. From 3D visualization of the city, to smart urban homes and habitats, to autonomous vehicles, sensors in buses, waste management and health wearables, the country has become the undisputed leader in the adoption of advanced technologies, thanks to his government’s commitment to invest in infrastructure improvements. The government has also launched a new program focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in finance, healthcare and city management solutions, and plans to invest up to more than US $ 100 million.
LEARNING EXPEDITION FINTECH
5 days immersion in Singapore for executive corporates
300 Fintech and Insurtech startups
Singapore is a global financial center with more than 200 banks. It is therefore naturally that the city-state has experienced a massive growth of its Fintech and Insurtech sectors, going from 18 startups in 2015 to more than 300 startups today.
The government is committed to investing $ 180 million over the next 5 years to support the development of its Fintech scene, including the creation of a regulatory sandbox to support experimentation. Singapore is also a forerunner of the transition to an open API architecture.
The digital transformation efforts of financial institutions and insurers
All major banks in the country have their own accelerators (DBS, UOB, OCBC) and Singapore hosts the PayPal and VISA Innovation Labs, a 100% Fintech coworking space and the largest Fintech event in the world.
